About
What we offer

Everything You Need,
and Nothing You Don't

This isn't a checklist kind of house. It’s a feeling kind of house.
But if you’re wondering what’s here, here’s a glimpse:

Four ensuite bedrooms (sleeps 8)

Plunge pool

Ocean-view rooftop & terraces

Air conditioned bedrooms

Full-time staff: chef + room stewards

Daily housekeeping

Airport transfers included

Dhow trips, snorkeling, massage & tours available

Stairs, Sea Breezes, and Stories Waiting to Unfold

The house rises across five floors. And yes, that means stairs. But each step brings you closer to what matters: a rooftop that watches over Shela’s sand dunes and ocean like a quiet sentinel. Down below, there’s a plunge pool for cooling off. A third-floor dining terrace with a bar and small kitchenette sets the scene for slow, breeze-filled meals that stretch into stories.

A Home With Heart, Five Stories Tall

Set in the peaceful coastal village of Shela, Zahir House is a five-story private villa where Swahili heritage meets understated luxury. It’s not a hotel. It’s not a resort. It’s something far rarer, a home that welcomes you like a warm breeze through an open window.

With four ensuite bedrooms (three doubles, one twin), the house sleeps up to eight guests, with room to roam, retreat, and reconnect. The lower levels offer air-conditioned comfort, while the top-floor suite lets the ocean breeze lull you to sleep, no hum of machines, just the hush of Shela at night.
